The odds against any one person fulfilling ALL of the Messianic prophecies are
greater than a trillion to one. Jesus fulfilled them all, so the mathematical
probability that He really is our Savior (the Son of God) is very, very, very, very
high. But please, dont take my word for it. Check it out. All the resources you need
are readily available. As former President Ronald Reagan once said, Trust, but
verify.
As you know, Jesus prophesied that He would die on the cross and after 3 days,
rise again. This is the most important prophecy of all. If Jesus did not rise from the
dead, it would have meant He was just a man, like any other, and we would all die
in our sins and be lost. Fortunately for us, He did rise again, proving beyond ANY
DOUBT that He is God.
Over 500 witnesses (1st Corinthians 15:6) saw the risen Christ and many of them
chose to die rather than deny what they had seen:
John 20:26 - 29 And after eight days, again his disciples were within, and
Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst
and said: Peace be to you. Then he said to Thomas: Put in thy finger hither and
see my hands. And bring hither the hand and put it into my side. And be not
faithless, but believing. Thomas answered and said to him: My Lord and my God.
Jesus saith to him: Because thou hast seen me, Thomas, thou hast believed:
blessed are they that have not seen and have believed.
Acts 10:39 - 43 And we are witnesses of all things
that he did in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem:
whom they killed, hanging him upon a tree. Him God
raised up the third day and gave him to be made
manifest, Not to all the people, but to witnesses
preordained by God, even to us, who did eat and
drink with him, after he arose again from the dead.
And he commanded us to preach to the people and
to testify that it is he who was appointed by God to
be judge of the living and of the dead.
To him all the prophets give testimony,
that by his name all receive remission of sins, who
believe in him.
